Crafting a Meaningful Legacy
Al Cassidy has spent his life helping others and enjoyed a long career working with charitable organizations. Al grew up in Louisville and has always been grateful for his Catholic faith and his education in Catholic schools.
He and his late wife, Barbara, were married for 58 years and made it their priority to provide those same opportunities for their children. In addition, both Al and Barbara were very active in their parish and school communities.
Al remembers something that Bishop Mark Spalding often said when he was the Pastor at Holy Trinity Parish in Louisville. “To whom much is given, much is required.” (Luke 12:48).
This message has always resonated with Al and he tries to live by it every day. He adds: “The Church has given us so much; if each of us can give a small portion of that back, we can help so many people, both now and in the future.”
Al and Barbara wanted to provide for their family but also leave a legacy to their parish and to the Archdiocese of Louisville. They chose to leave a percentage of their estate to the Church in order to make a lasting impact and enrich the lives of others.
We all leave a legacy. Al and Barbara have created a beautiful and meaningful one through their estate plan.
